Your garden may already have strong foundations.
The structure may work.
The layout may feel settled.

But as the seasons shift, something doesn’t quite feel cohesive.

Perhaps colour arrives all at once and disappears too quickly.
Perhaps the borders feel slightly out of balance.
Perhaps certain areas never quite thrive as they should.

Planting design is about refinement, not reinvention.

It is the art of creating rhythm through the seasons, balancing texture and form, and ensuring that every plant has purpose within the wider composition.

My approach is structured and considered.

Before selecting a single plant, I look at:

• Light and soil conditions
• Existing structure
• Seasonal progression
• How the space is used
• Long-term sustainability

The result is a bespoke planting plan that feels cohesive, intentional and enduring, not trend-led or overworked.
Beauty matters.
But so does longevity.

This service is best suited to gardens where:

• The layout largely works
• Structure exists but planting lacks cohesion
• Seasonal interest feels inconsistent
• Certain areas struggle to thrive
• You would value expert curation without major construction

Planting design can be delivered in person for Dorset-based clients, or remotely with the same level of care and attention to detail.
