Thank you for taking the time to visit.

Horticulture has shaped my life for over thirty years. What began as a fascination with plants gradually evolved into a career spanning garden centres, landscaping businesses, garden maintenance and ultimately running my own gardening company.

This journey has given me more than experience — it has given me perspective.

Perspective on how gardens evolve over time.
Perspective on what truly lasts beyond a single season.
Perspective on the balance between creativity and practicality.

I understand plants not only for their beauty, but for how they behave and mature.
I understand the practical realities of implementation.
And I understand the importance of listening carefully to the person who lives within the space.

Qualified with a diploma in Garden Design from The Blackford Centre in Somerset (formerly the Institute of Garden Design), I bring together strong horticultural knowledge with structured, thoughtful design.

I am drawn to clean lines, balanced compositions and planting that carries rhythm through the seasons. Texture, repetition and gentle movement are just as important as colour.

Above all, I care deeply about creating gardens that feel grounded and alive — spaces that support biodiversity and welcome wildlife. Bumble bees, in particular, are frequent and very welcome guests.

For me, design is never about imposing an idea onto a space.
It is about understanding what is already there — and guiding it into something more cohesive and enduring.

If that approach resonates with you, I would love to hear about your garden.

My Approach

Every project begins with listening.

How you use the space.
How you want it to feel.
What currently feels unsettled or incomplete.

From there, the process becomes collaborative and considered.

I believe good garden design should feel intentional rather than hurried, structured rather than trend-led. Decisions are made carefully, with attention to long-term resilience as much as immediate impact.

I often refer to my philosophy as mindful garden design.

To me, this means:

Working in harmony with the land
Respecting ecological balance
Selecting plants with purpose
Designing for longevity
Creating emotional connection to outdoor space

My role is to guide the process with clarity and care, ensuring that when a project is complete, the garden feels cohesive, balanced and quietly confident.
